The incident happened on Monday, April 24, just before 6 p.m., when police responded to a CVS/Pharmacy location in Larchmont at 21 Chatsworth Ave. on a report of an assault and robbery, according to Village of Larchmont officials.

Authorities soon learned that the suspect had run away after robbing the store. Further investigation revealed that the suspect's description matched an individual who had also committed another robbery and assault on a Westchester County Bee Line bus, officials said.

Larchmont Police then requested help from the Westchester County, Town of Mamaroneck, and Village of Mamaroneck Police Departments in locating the suspect, in addition to the Westchester County Aviation Unit.

Shortly after this search began, the suspect, whose name was not released, was found and arrested in the area of Wendt Avenue and Vanderburgh Avenue.

"Larchmont's first responders acted swiftly and professionally in apprehending a violent felony offender, in accordance with their training, to keep the community safe," Larchmont village officials said on social media.
