Somers' Heyde Gets Second Shutout in Hofstra Win

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Somers’ graduate and Hofstra senior Amanda Heyde made two saves Friday, as the Pride cruised by visiting Virginia Commonwealth University, 9-0 in women’s college field hockey.It was Heyde’s second shutout of the season and ninth win, as the Pride improved to 9-5. Heyde also registered her 30th win for Hofstra.
