Cameron Lischinsky scored the lone goal with 5:37 left in the first half off an assist from defensive standout Mia Lennon. Lischinsky's goal was the game winner as well on Saturday in the state semifinal versus Iroquois.

Lakeland out shot Garden City 7-2 and had five corners to their two. Goalie Cassie Halpin made two saves for the Hornets, all in the first half. They then withstood a final corner given to Garden City after the game time had expired.

This is Lakeland's 11th state title, all under Coach Sharon Sarsen.
