UPDATED 12:25 a.m. SOMERS, N.Y. – With 94 percent of precincts reporting, Rick Morrissey leads the Somers Town Supervisor race over Christine Robbins, with 59 percent to 41 percent of the votes, Board of Elections officials reported as of 12:25 a.m.
Morrissey, a Republican, is a 34-year resident of Somers and has more than 40 years of government experience, including as a Somers town councilman. He is currently the deputy commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Health.
Robbins, a Democrat, notes her years of experience as a civic leader, marketing manager, fund-raiser and political consultant as qualities perfectly suited to lead the Somers Town Board.
