A Westchester woman is facing felony DWI charges after police say she was driving under the influence with a suspended license on Interstate 287.
New York State Police initiated a traffic stop on I-287 in the town of Harrison after observing an alleged violation on Saturday, Nov. 30 around 4 a.m.
The driver, identified as Maria Caligiuri, 38, of White Plains, was found to be intoxicated, according to police, who say she was also driving with a suspended license.
Caligiuri was placed under arrested and transported to SP New Rochelle, where police say her blood-alcohol level was tested at .15.
Caligiuri was also found to have a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years, police say. As a result, she was charged with driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, both Class E felonies.
Caligiuri was released to a sober third party. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Harrison Court on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
