A Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the Fox Run Condominium Complex shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, where there was a report of a dispute where a handgun was displayed.

Sheriff Deputy William Rossiter said that he arrived at the condo complex, he found a group of people including the two alleged victims. They advised that the suspect, 57-year-old James Waring, who lives in the complex, had returned to his apartment.

Langley said that Waring opened the door, and was ordered to the ground. The investigation into the incident determined that Waring allegedly displayed an imitation revolver during the dispute. The imitation revolver was recovered inside the residence during the investigation.

Waring was arrested and transported to the Putnam County Correctional facility for processing. Waring was arraigned and charged with two counts of menacing in Patterson Justice Court. Following his arraignment, Waring was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to respond to the charges.
