SOMERS, N.Y. – Luciano Imperatore, of Croton Falls, died Wednesday, March 11, after a long illness. He was 88.
Imperatore was born in Gorga, Italy, to Leonino Imperatore and Assunta Maironi. immigrating to the United States in December 1947.
He worked as a brick and stone mason with Local 5 in New York before retiring in 1992, building his own home in 1963 and maintained a popular vegetable garden.
Imperatore is survived by his daughter, Anne Ahearn and son-in-law Bob.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Somers.
Visiting hours are Sunday, March 15, from 4-8 p.m. at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster.
