SARASOTA, Fla. - Daniel Siesel, of Sarasota, Fla., and formerly of Somers and Mamaroneck, N.Y. died May 23. He was 81.
Siesel was born July 29, 1931, to Harold and Frieda Siesel in Manhattan. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and Union College, before serving in the Korean War. He later joined his brother, Alfred as vice president of the Harold J. Siesel Company; an advertising and public relations firm founded by their father. Together, Danny and Alfred led the Siesel Company for over 30 years.
Siesel is survived by his life partner, Adelaide Hurst; children, Steven Siesel (Linda) and Diane Muratore (Stephen); and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Elinor Siesel; and brother, Alfred Siesel.
A service will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 West Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, NY (914) 769-4404. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 80 Commerce St., Hawthorne NY will follow.
