SOMERS, N.Y. - A Briarcliff woman was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by drugs after police said they spotted her driving erratically in Somers.
The Somers Police Department and New York State Police stopped Julia K. Venditto, 20, at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. Police said when they pulled Venditto over, they found her to be under the influence of drugs. Police said they also found a hypodermic needle in the car.
Venditto was charged with DWAI-Drugs and possession of a hypodermic needle, both misdemeanors. She was released to her parents and is due to appear in Somers Town Court on March 5 at 5:30 p.m.
