SOMERS, N.Y. - In preparation for Hurricane Sandy, the Somers Emergency Shelter will open at 6 p.m., Sunday. The shelter, open to all Somers residents, is at 8 Heritage Hills Drive. If you are using a GPS enter "1 Heritage Hills Drive."
If you are planning to come to the shelter, the town advises that you travel before the storm arrives. If you have an emergency, dial 911.
