Friday, Feb. 22

Patricia Adams: 6:30 p.m. Somers own jazz musician/songstress, Patricia Adams, entertains at Mamma Rosa’s Ristorante. Call (914) 232-8080 for reservations. Mamma Rosa’s is at 252 Route 100 in Somers.

Craft/Vendor Fair at Somers Community Center: 7-10 p.m. Vendors at the fair include Dove Chocolate Discoveries, Bows For Less, Origami Owl and Scentsy. All proceeds from the 50/50 raffle go to Autism Speaks. The event takes place at the Somers Community Center, 34 Hillandale Drive, Shenorock. For more information, contact Sara at (914) 336-0087.

Saturday, Feb. 23

Northern Star Quilters' Guild: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The annual Super Saturday event will be at Kennedy Catholic High School, Route 138, Somers. See the website for a list of teachers and classes.

Candle Making Workshop: 10 a.m. to noon. Join Mia Camacho-Fitzgerald from the Clean Ridge Soap Company to learn how to make candles at home. Registration is required. Materials are provided. The fee is $20. The workshop is at Muscoot Farm, Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35, Somers.

Soap Making Workshop: 12:30-3:30 p.m. Join Mia Camacho-Fitzgerald from the Clean Ridge Soap Company to learn how to make soap at home. Registration is required. Materials are provided. The fee is $45. If you sign up for both workshops, the combined fee is $60. It’s at Muscoot Farm, Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35, Somers.

Sunday, Feb. 24

Tapping the Sugar Maples: 1-3 p.m. Join the farmers of Muscoot and learn to tap the maple trees that provide the sweet sap for maple syrup. It’s at Muscoot Farm, Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35, Somers. (Weather permitting.)

Starting Seeds Indoors: 2 p.m. Get a head start on your spring planting and save money by learning about the timing and techniques for starting annuals, perennials, vegetables and herbs indoors, for later transplanting to your garden. Participants will plant seeds and take them home. It’s at Lasdon Park & Arboretum, Route 35, Somers.
