SOMERS, N.Y. -- Westchester County Clerk Timothy Idoni’s community outreach staff will be at Reis Park in Somers on Wednesday, July 22, to help residents process passport requests.
The service will be available from 6-8:30 p.m. to take applicants' photos and help will the application process.
Applicants should bring proof that they are U.S. citizens such as a previous U.S. passport or an original or certified copy of their birth certificate, a valid driver’s license or a government-issued identification card.
The total fee is $135 for adult applicants (16 and older) and $105 for child applicants (younger than 16). The $25 processing portion of the fee can be paid by check, money order or credit card. The remainder of the fee, $110 for adults and $80 for children must be paid by check or money order made out to the U.S. Department of State. Cash cannout be accepted at the mobile office.
Applications will also be accepted for the U.S. Passport Card for land and sea border travel only. The fee for adults is $55, and for children, the fee is $40.
Clerk's office staff can take passport photos for an additional $10 fee.
For those who need a passport in about two to three weeks, expedited service costs an additional $60 for each passport application that must be expedited.
