SOMERS, N.Y. -- Somers High School is throwing a used clothing fundraiser on Sunday, June 8 to benefit the PTSA.
The clothing drive will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at the Somers High School parking lot. The annual clothing drive will accept clothing, bicycles, stuffed animals and other items to benefit the students at Somers High School.
"There is a strong need this year for hard toys and bicycles that may be given to children in need around the world," representatives said in a press release. "This is a fundraiser for the PTSA and we receive a donation for the total pounds we collect."
The following is a list of items accepted at the drive:
- Wearable and usable clothing
- Shoes (bagged in pairs and bagged separately please)
- Belts and handbags
- Linens
- Stuffed animals
- Hard Toys (should fit box 24x24x21)
- Bicycles
The drive will not accept strollers, high chairs, car seats, cribs, play center, bouncers or walkers. Residents are asked to put all items in well tied, large garbage bags. Tax deduction receipts will be provided upon request.
