SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Relay For Life of Somers is set to host a double feature movie night Friday, March 7.
The group is set to show "Despicable Me 2" at 5:45 p.m. and "Ice Age: Continental Drift" at 9 p.m. Friday, March 7 at the Somers Intermediate School at 240 Route 202 in Somers. Admission is $20 with pizza, popcorn and water provided. Students can bring pillows and blankets. The event will benefit the Relay for Life team, The Warriors.
"Each year, more than 4 million people in about 20 countries participate and have raised more than $400 million," representatives said. "The Somers relay alone has raised $301,296 in the last three years. Between now and the May 30 event, Somers teams will try to reach a $100,000 fundraising goal."
Cash or checks are accepted for donations. Checks should be made out to the American Cancer Society.
