The newest DeCicco & Sons location is scheduled to open its doors to the public for the first time at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, May 3 at 266 Route 202, featuring grand opening specials throughout the store.
The 20,000-square-foot Somers store will join other popular locations already in place in Ardsley, Armonk, Brewster, Harrison, Larchmont, Millwood and Pelham. It will be the largest of the eight stores. It will also continue the chain's ban of single-use plastic bags.
The newest DeCicco & Sons will include outdoor seating, a bar serving 32 craft beers, a new kitchen and catering space. It will also include standard DeCicco & Sons groceries and fares, such as signature series prepared food, homemade baked goods, fresh sushi and a juice and coffee bar.
According to DeCicco & Sons, the store will feature advanced, energy-efficient LED lighting, motion sensors to reduce electricity usage during times of low occupancy and reclaimed heat from the refrigeration system to “dramatically reduce the use of natural gas.”
“Please join us in celebrating and enjoy special Grand Opening deals throughout the store," the company posted on Facebook. “We can’t wait to be joining the Somers community. See everyone on Friday.”
