PATTERSON, N.Y. -- Costco is looking to come to Patterson.
The big box store is hoping to open at the Patterson Crossing Retail Center, located at Route 311 and I-84, even though the project has been tied up in legal action.
A lawsuit over a proposed gas station at the site was recently thrown out. Costco said it hopes to start construction in spring of 2018, according to The Putnam Examiner.
While County Executive MaryEllen Odell said the store would be an anchor for Putnam, Kent Supervisor Maureen Fleming has expressed reservations about Kent having to use more resources for the site, according to the Putnam Examiner.
TJ Maxx and HomeGoods are also planned for Patterson Crossing.
