New Round Of Possibly Severe Storms Headed To Scarsdale

Heavy rains and hail are possible across much of the region Wednesday afternoon before the skies clear, giving way to a beautiful weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers are expected between noon and 4 p.m. as clouds continue to roll in from the west throughout the day. The chance for rain is about 70 percent with up to a quarter-inch possible in most areas, according to the Weather Service, which reported that higher amounts may fall locally.

The clouds are expected to linger Wednesday night, but the chance for strong storms is expected to decline, according to the weather service.

By Thursday, the skies are expected to clear as temperatures begin a steady climb toward the low 70s. Still the winds are expected to be strong with gusts up to 32 mph.

Temperatures on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are expected to rise into the upper 70s. Skies are expected to be clear, according to the National Weather Service.
