SCARSDALE, N.Y. The SMS Players, composed of eighth-grade Scarsdale Middle School students, will present Rodgers and Hammerstein's G2K version of "Cinderella" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17, and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18 at the Middle School auditorium.
Familiar songs from the play include "Impossible" and "In My Own Little Corner."
"Over the years the show has become a fundraiser for charities that help children," wrote Director Dorothy Golden in a press release. "Once again, we will be donating any proceeds to The Feed Organization, which works both in the U.S. and abroad to give children a hearty and healthy breakfast, which is sometimes their only meal of the day."
The show is the G2K version Getting to Know revised especially for young performers.
In addition to ticket sales, chocolate bars, lollipops and flashing wands will be sold to raise money. Tickets, which are $10, are available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the SMS Great Hall.
