More offensive symbols were found in a bathroom at a Westchester high school, officials said.

Students at Scarsdale High School found offensive graffiti in a bathroom that used hate speech to target multiple groups of people, school officials said. The latest incident comes after a swastika was found carved into a toilet-paper dispenser on Thursday, Sept. 12.

High School Principal Kenneth Bonamo sent a note to parents outlining what the students reportedly found.

“These words and images were not easily visible, though upon closer scrutiny they became apparent,” he said. “This speaks to the reality that some of the furnishings in our bathrooms are many years old, and that components such as plastic stall walls or wooden doors can have markings of indeterminate age and meaning.

“Such markings, even those that were painted or sanded over, can be modified or refreshed to create a newly offensive message. Police, who were called to the school, said it would be difficult to determine exactly when the graffiti appeared and that it is possible that it was made in segments over time.”

The investigation into both incidents is ongoing. Anyone with information has been asked to contact Bonamo directly at the high school.

“If even one member of our community feels unwelcome or distressed by this incident, that is one person too many,” Bonamo said after the first incident. “All students, families, and staff members must feel equally included and respected by each of us. Hate speech and scare tactics will not be tolerated and do not represent what we stand for. “
