A 56-year-old Macy's employee was nabbed for allegedly ripping off money from the cash register.
Desmond Mighty of Cortlandt Manor was arrested Thursday, Oct. 4, after Yorktown Police received a call from Macy's staff at the Jefferson Valley Mall, reporting an employee was being held for a larceny complaint, said the Yorktown Police.
An investigation into the claim found that Mighty allegedly stole cash from the register totaling $107.72 on two separate occasions, police said.
Mighty was charged with petit larceny and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 8.
