Dozens of new laws will take effect in New York in January, including one that protects women’s rights in the workplace and in domestic violence cases, according to a report in lohud.
Lohud also reported that the state Legislature passed, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed, close to 600 bills in 2015 addressing issues such as the minimum wage, breastfeeding mothers, access to child-abuse records in missing children cases, and cuts in corporate taxes.
