SCARSDALE, N.Y. A Chappaqua woman told Scarsdale Police that her iPad was stolen in the parking garage at 5 Popham Road, adjacent to CVS, at around 10:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23.
According to the police report, the woman said she was at the booth in the garage and left her iPad on the air conditioning unit. She told police she returned five minutes later and it was gone. She said she did not see many customers at the time. She also said the iPad is white and has a distinctive brown and gold Michael Kors case and is valued at $1,100.
Both garage employees were working at the time, and both told police there were only three or four customers at the time and none left with an iPad. Police are continuing the investigation.

Missing leaders: A Park Road resident reported at 11:25 a.m. Monday that four copper leaders parts of a gutter drainage system had been stolen. Police found two sets of footprints in the snow tracking around the house, and discovered two leaders missing from the front, one from the rear and one from the north side. The four pieces were valued at approximately $750.
Slashed tires: A Swarthmore Road resident awoke Monday to find the tires slashed on all three family cars. According to the Scarsdale police report, the resident said he last saw the cars at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, and he did not see or hear anything unusual overnight.
Gas leak: A gas leak was reported at 11:41 a.m. Monday at a Madison Road address, and Scarsdale police were called by Westchester County Fire Department for assistance to gain entry to the home. Scarsdale Fire Department and police responded with Con Edison, and a small leak was located.
