SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Scarsdale Public Library is offering adult programs, including crafts, films, book groups, workshops and great music throughout November.

The workshops are as follows:

10 a.m. Nov. 6.

Make Your Own Hand-Crafted Cards

Jo-Anne Weinberg, who will share her tips and techniques with you. Weinberg is a staff member at the Scarsdale Public Library and has been making cards for family and friends for more than 13 years. Call 914-722-1302 to register.

1 p.m. Nov. 6.

Awakening The Brain

Dr. Charlotte Tomaino, a clinical neuropsychologist. She will offer some thoughts about the power of neuroplastcity that is available to you. Can we develop and expand human mental skills?  Yes, and age does not matter. What matters is what you do and the intention you have for dong it. 

7 p.m. Nov. 12.

The Hadassah Film Festival presents "The Other Son," a film about an Israeli youth who, as he prepares to join the Israeli army, discovers he is not the biological son of his parents and was switched at birth with Yacine, the child of a Palestinian family in the West Bank.

2 p.m. Nov. 13.

Not Your Kid's Book Club for Adults

Current Events Discussion Group

Join us in the Scott Room to discuss current events. Led by history teacher Michael Kamm, the group reads an article, followed by a one-hour discussion.

6 p.m. Nov. 14.   Expand Your Business with eBay Presenter Jennifer Stevens, a certified eBay consultant, will cover what you need to get started. Merchandising and listing enhancements, PayPal and shipping options, and how to maximize your sales price. This workshop is designed for both established businesses and startups
