Scarsdale Library Serves Up Programs For Children

SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Make It Monday kicks off the children’s programs for the week on Monday at 4 p.m. the Scarsdale Public Library.

This is an advanced craft program for children ages 7 and older. Registration is required at the library website, www.scarsdalelibrary.org

Chi-Chi Bestmann brings her viola and violin for another performance of Petite Concerts for preschool children on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

At 4 p.m., the weekly Traditional Tuesday Storytime will feature stories and rhymes designed specifically for ages 3 1/2 to 5. 

The 2nd Grade Book Club will meet Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. The children will read a book together during the session; no need to pick anything up in advance. Registration is required at the library website. 

On Thursday, the weekly Mother Goose for Walkers Up to Age Two will be held at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. This language enrichment program uses rhymes, songs and stories to stimulate listening, learning, speaking and reading skills. 

Mother Goose for Walkers is limited to the first 20 appropriately aged children. Attendees must have a ticket which are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to Scarsdale cardholders in the Children’s Room half an hour before the start of each session. 

Mother Goose for Pre-Walkers, a program of rhymes, songs and stories for infants who are not yet walking will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. Reservations are not required.
