Drunk Woman With Child In Car Crashes On Capital Region Roadway, Police Say A woman from the region is facing DWI charges following a car crash in the region involving a child. The Schenectady County incident happened at around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, in the town of Duanesburg. Elizabeth Taylor, age 43, of Duanesburg, was driving on Mariaville Scotch Church Road when she went off the roadway and crashed, according to New York State Police. At the time of the incident, Taylor had a passenger under the age of 15 in the car, troopers said.  Neither of them was injured. No other cars were involved in the crash. The incident happened Sunday, July 23, in Columbia County, on Route 20 in the town of New Lebanon, according to New York State Police. A trooper stopped the teen’s Honda Civic after reportedly observing the car going over 100 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. The trooper determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. They also found nine other teen passengers inside the car, two of whom were riding in the trunk.…

Troopers in Rensselaer County were called just before 7 p.m. Thursday, April 13, with reports of a single-car crash in Hoosick Falls on Ball Street, according to New York State Police. Albany County resident Michael Smith, of Cohoes, was arrested following a traffic stop in Watervliet late Monday night, Jan. 9, according to Watervliet Police. Officers stopped Smith at around 11:30 p.m. near 25th Street and Second Avenue for vehicle and traffic law violations. State troopers pulled a vehicle over for a traffic violation in the Saratoga County village of Schuylerville shortly before 11 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, according to New York State Police.
