30-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Fatal Crash Involving Stolen Car In Region A man who was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle was killed when he crashed into a tree, and the SUV burst into flames while fleeing police in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 4:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the parking lot of Dunkin' Donuts on Violet Avenue in the town of Hyde Park. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, responding troopers found the 2015 Honda Pilot still running and left unattended on Violet Avenue. Hudson Valley Woman Dies In House Fire Trying To Save Cats A 46-year-old woman died in a house trailer fire in the region, reportedly attempting to save her cats. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 125 Reagans Mill Road in Dover around 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 25. According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, Ellen R. Travis of Dover, died as a result of the fire and was pronounced dead at the scene. "At this time, her death does not appear to be criminal in nature," Watterson said. Woman Found Dead In Hudson River On Christmas Eve Tentatively Identified A woman who was found floating in the Hudson River on Christmas Eve has been tentatively identified. The body was discovered in Dutchess County around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24 near Waryas Park in the city of Poughkeepsie. The body was taken to the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and identification of the remains, said Det. Lt. 36-Year-Old Hudson Valley Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash A 36-year-old was killed in a rollover crash in the region. The collision took place in Dutchess County around 5:15 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 10 in the area of 537 Salt Point Turnpike in the town of Hyde Park. According to Chief Robert Benson of the Hyde Park Police, Tyler J. McEnroe, of Millbrook, was driving a 1997 Subaru Hatchback when he lost control, overturned, and was partially ejected. McEnroe, the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, Benson said. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. ID Released For Woman Who Died After Jumping From Bridge In Hudson Valley Police have identified a woman who jumped to her death from a bridge in the region on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Original report: Woman Jumps From Newburgh-Beacon Bridge Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police announced on Thursday, Nov. 16 that the body of Dutchess County resident Stacy M. Shanahan, age 49, of Beekman, was the person who was found dead under the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge near Fishkill.  No signs of foul play have been discovered at this time, Hicks said. The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office was on the scene aiding in the investigation.

The unidentified woman was found in Dutchess County around 10 a.m., Monday, April 10 near the Mid-Hudson Bridge and the city of Poughkeepsie.
