Capital Region Man Nabbed For DWI Twice In Same Day, Police Say
A man from the Capital Region was arrested not once, but twice in the same day for allegedly driving while intoxicated, authorities said.
State Police in Saratoga County were called at around 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, with reports of a pickup truck off the roadway in Corinth, on Wilton Mountain Road.
When they arrived, troopers found 37-year-old Jeffrey Nadeau, of Hadley, sitting in the driver’s seat of the truck, which had struck a utility pole, police said.

New York Man Claims $1M Mega Millions Prize
A Capital Region man has shared his plans after winning a $1 million Mega Millions prize.
Saratoga County resident Ronald Skinner, of Corinth, claimed his second prize for matching the first five numbers in the Tuesday, July 26, drawing, New York Lottery announced on Thursday, Oct. 6.
Skinner received his prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $651,000 after required withholdings, the lottery said.
He told NY Lottery that he plans to use the funds to purchase a home.

Capital District Couple Tied Dog To Tree In Woods, Abandoned Him, Police Say
A couple from the Capital District has been criminally charged after police said they tied their one-year-old dog to a tree in the woods and then abandoned him.
Saratoga County residents Noah Center, age 24, and Ashleigh Allen, age 22, both of Corinth, were arrested Thursday, July 14, on multiple charges stemming from the incident.
According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Center and Allen left the Heeler mix, named Quade, tied up in a wooded area off Route 9 in Corinth, where he remained for at least two days.
