A pair of snowstorms closed schools in Rye twice in one week and made a mess of travel throughout Westchester County. Interstate 84 was also closed for several hours due to Wednesday's storm

A water main break on Halstead Avenue in Harrison caused service interruptions Wednesday in Harrison and parts of Rye and Mamaroneck.
Former Rye resident, Major League Baseball Hall-of-Fame player and New York Mets announcer Ralph Kiner died Thursday. He was 91.
