The 49-year-old victim was walking along the eastbound lane of School Street in Armonk, around 8:55 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4, when he was struck by a pickup truck driven by John M. Cozza, 45, of Armonk near Wampus Avenue, North Castle Police said.

Cozza was charged after police identified the vehicle involved, which led to charges of leaving the scene of an incident without reporting/personal injury, police said.

He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The pedestrian is in stable condition.
