Man Steals Car At Long Island Supermarket After Holding Woman At Gunpoint

A man stole a woman’s car at Whole Foods on Long Island, police said.

Officers from the Suffolk County Police Department responded to Whole Foods in Lake Grove on New Moriches Road shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, where there was a report of a woman whose car was stolen at gunpoint.

Police said that Stephanie Rodriguez was sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked 2008 Chrysler Seebring when a man approached the vehicle and asked her for directions. The man then pointed a handgun at Rodriguez and told her to exit the vehicle.

Rodriguez, 23, of Lake Grove, exited the Chrysler and the man got into the driver’s seat and drove away.  Rodriguez was not injured in the incident.
