The blaze happened on Sunday, Jan. 15 around 4:50 p.m. in Somers on Nymph Drive near Lake Lincolndale, where a car caught on fire, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.
Luckily, the fire was out of range of any buildings. Firefighters were able to quickly put the flames out after hosing it down, but not before the driver suffered burns as a result.
The driver was taken to a local hospital for their injuries.
