"Six Stories Told" Performs at Playland: 3, 5, 7 p.m.
Starting at 3 p.m. the teen New York native pop group "Six Stories Told" will perform a series of shows at the Music Tower Theater, which is at Playland Amusement Park. 1 Playland Parkway.
Sunday, May 27
Rye Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Rye's community farmers market will open on Sunday morning for the first time in 2012. New vendors this year include Valley Shepherd Creamery, Fishkill Farms, Newgate Farms, Migliorelli Farm, Pikas Farm Table, Go-Go Pops, Tierra Farm, Doc Pickle, Bombay Emerald Chutney Company, Kontoulis Family Olive Oil, Feather Ridge Farm, American Pride Seafood, Alpacatrax, and Merediths Bread. Parking lot behind Purchase Street stores, 9 Theodore Fremd Avenue.
Veteran and Service Appreciation Day at Rye Playland: 1:30 p.m.
Rye Playland is putting on a series of special activites aimed at honoring veterans starting with a ceremony and ending with a special marine helicopter raid demonstration. Rye Playland Music Tower Theater, 1 Playland Parkway.
Monday, May 28
Memorial Day Celebration on Village Green: 10 a.m. This annual observance and celebration of veterans will feature guest speaker Benjamin Patton, a grandson of Gen. George S. Patton, Jr. Also making remarks will be Mayor Doug French and Assemblymember George Latimer. Arthur Stampleman will recieve this year's Americanism Award. Rye Village Green, 1051 Boston Post Road.
