RYE, N.Y. -- The store windows of Rye are decked out in Halloween style again this year following the 63rd annual Halloween Window Painting Day on Oct. 18.
Hosted by the city's Parks and Recreation Department and the Women's Club of Rye Children's Philanthropy, the local children of Rye let their imagination run wild with Halloween fun while painting the town's window, said Carol Stevens.
"Some traditions live on. And we never get tired of seeing the effort, creativity and child-like visions that this holiday provokes in the imaginations of the painters themselves," she said. " Stop by Rye this week before all that hard work is washed away with soap and water."
