Just In Time For Playland's Season Opening: Exit 19 Closed Overnight

RYE, N.Y. -- The Thruway Authority has announced the closure of southbound Exit 19 in Rye from 10 p.m. on Thursday to 5 a.m. on Friday, May 8 for pavement repairs.

Overnight paving on Interstate 95 will close southbound Exit 19 just days before Rye Playland is slated to open.

The ramp closure and subsequent repairs come just days before Rye Playland is scheduled to open for the season on Saturday.

During the closure, all traffic seeking to use exit 19 (Rye – Playland Parkway) will be detoured to exit 18B (White Plains – Mamaroneck Avenue) and brought back onto I-95 northbound from this location.

Work is expected to be completed before Saturday, pending any delays.
