RYE, N.Y. -- Rye's American Legion Post 128 will host a Memorial Day service on the Village Green Monday to pay tribute to those who have given their lives in service to the country.
The event will begin at 9:45 a.m. There will be speeches made and benedictions read, and there will be a reading of the men and women of Rye who have served in the armed services. The featured speaker will be Suzanne Cleary, president of the Jay Heritage Center. Boy and Girl Scouts will carry flags, and Taps will be played.
The entire community is invited to come and join in the ceremony.
