A two-alarm fire damaged an apartment building in Westchester and caused road closures. 

The blaze began at 530 McLean Ave. in Yonkers on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at around 11:15 a.m., according to Yonkers firefighters and police. 

Arriving firefighters helped one person out of the building while heavy flames were spotted shooting out of two rear windows. 

Fire crews were able to confine the blaze to the building's second and third floors, according to the Yonkers Fire Department. 

The fire caused McLean Avenue to close between Lawton Street and Midland Avenue until around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
