Members of the Bedford Police Department received a report at approximately 7:40 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18 from area resident Leroy Junker, who said he was lost on the trails of the Westmoreland Sanctuary. Police said that while investigating the lost man, they determined he was actually in the Arthur Butler Sanctuary, not the Westmoreland Sanctuary. Coyote Sighting Causes Lock-In At Several Schools In Greenburgh Several Westchester schools were put on lock-in Thursday following a coyote sighting on school property. The coyote was seen around 10:45 a.m. Thursday on the Greenburgh school district's Warburg campus on Hartsdale Avenue which includes the Woodlands Middle/High School, Lee F. Jackson School, and the Early Childhood Program.
