Thomas Joseph O'Connor, 89, Longtime Waldwick Resident WALDWICK, N.J. -- Thomas Joseph O'Connor, of Waldwick, died on Saturday, March 4. He was 89. Born in Annascaul, County Kerry, Ireland, O'Connor played for the Kerry Minors football team. He emigrated to New York in 1948, where he met his wife.  He served in the 101st Airborne Division as an MP during the Korean War. He retired from the Port Authority of Nork York and New Jersey in 1976.  O'Connor lived in Waldwick for 60 years. She was a member of the Glen Rock Garden Club, Valley Hospital Auxiliary and the Glen Rock Seniors Club.  She also worked in the "Pink Bank" in Glen Rock for 40 years, and she loved gardening, bird watching, listening to music and spending time with her family.
