A senior at St. Thomas More Prep in Oakwood, Conn., and a former student of Dobbs Ferry High School, the 6'6", 225-pound forward was recently named the 2013 Westchester County "Mr. Basketball" honoree.
"We are all thrilled to have Eric Paschall join the Fordham basketball family," Fordham head coach Tom Pecora said in a statement. "He is an important piece to the process of our future success. Eric will have an immediate impact on our program when he joins us next year."
As a junior at Dobbs Ferry in 2012-13, Paschall averaged 26.0 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists to earn state Class B player of the year honors and led the Eagles into the Section 1 finals. He was named Westchester County's Mr. Basketball, becoming just the fourth junior to win the award, joining Elton Brand, Ben Gordon and Jabarie Hinds.
Paschall averaged 20 points and nine rebounds per game as a sophomore at Dobbs Ferry. He was named MVP of the 2012 Metro Classic, an annual all-star game featuring the top players from the city and the suburbs, in the summer following his sophomore year, scoring 35 points in the contest. Paschall also led his "The City" AAU program to a title at the July 15U championship in Little Rock, Ark., that summer.
"It feels good right now and I'm so happy to have signed with Fordham," Paschall said in the release. "It's a perfect situation for me as it's a great academic school that's close to home and I have a great relationship with the coaching staff."
