IRVINGTON, N.Y. The Dobbs Ferry boys basketball team recovered quickly from its first loss of the season Friday, shaking off an early deficit to run past host Irvington 52-31.
The Eagles (10-1), who suffered their first loss of the season to Woodlands on Wednesday after winning their first nine games, trailed 11-8 after one quarter, but used a 15-3 run to take 23-14 halftime lead.
Sophomore forward Eric Paschall led the Eagles with 17 points, senior guard Spencer Avalos added 15 and senior forward Thomas Fleming scored 11.
Jon Goldreich scored eight points for Irvington and Kevin Tierney added seven for the Bulldogs.
The Eagles will play next at Edgemont on Friday, Jan. 20 at 4:15 p.m.
