DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – St. Christopher's, Inc. will be making its television debut on Sunday Oct. 25 after having already been featured on the big screen with their Marching Cobras band in the Oscar-winning movie "Birdman."
Hosted by actor William Shatner, “Moving America Forward” celebrates the achievements and contributions of businesses and entrepreneurs across the country.
“We are excited and honored that ‘Moving America Forward’ will present our story to a national audience,” said Robert Maher, chief executive officer of St. Christopher’s. “With the help of our remarkable staff, we have been able to make a difference in the lives of adolescents who are faced with overwhelming challenges.”
The “Moving America Forward” piece will highlight the work of Maher and St. Christopher’s, which has more than 150 in-residence students and 350 day students across it's four campuses.
The interview features St. Christopher’s Chief Operating Officer Horace Turnbull, who was interviewed by Shatner and Doug Llewelyn, known for “The People's Court.”
The program also honored Maher with the “Moving America Forward Award” for developing one of the finest organizations in the United States. It will air on Sunday, October 25, at 11:15 a.m. on Biz TV and online at www.biztv.com.
In addition to the “Moving America Forward Award,” St. Christopher’s was also recognized the with the “Corporate Culture Award,” which honors companies that foster a creative, collaborative workplace culture that helps enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage, from SmartCEO magazine.
SmartCEO magazine will be putting a profile of the school in their November/December issue and online.
