DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. The Dobbs Ferry School District will be hosting a community discussion on the International Baccalaureate program tonight.
The district has offered the two-year college preparatory program for the past 13 years and the district will look to examine the program and its future.
We feel that it is crucial for not only parents, but the community-at-large, to understand the philosophy of the IB program and its intrinsic value for our students, said Dobbs Ferry Schools Ssuperintendent Lisa Brady in a message to parents.
Possible expansion of the program to earlier years as well as high level courses at the high school and a partnership with Mercy College for students to earn college credits will all be discussed on Wednesday.
The community forum will be held in the high school/middle school auditorium, 505 Broadway, at 7 p.m. and all parents are encouraged to attend.
