DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- It's a long way from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn., to Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, but it's a journey Timothy Hall is happy he has made.
Hall took over as Mercy College president in May 2014 after serving the previous seven years as Austin Peay's president.
"I was attracted by Mercy College and its students." said President Hall
During Hall’s years at Austin Peay, both President Barack Obama and Bill Gates praised the university for its innovative use of technology to support student success.
One of Hall's main challenges at Mercy College is to buck a national trend of declining graduation rates for college students.
"We understand that what we need in this country is more college graduates," Hall said. "So all of us now, Mercy College especially, focus on how we produce not simply a college student but a college graduate."
