Armonk's Geri Mariano To Speak With School Parents

ARMONK, N.Y. -- Armonk resident Geri Mariano, who has diastrophic dysplasia, will give a talk to that is open to local parents and children, according to the Byram Hills PTSA.

"Geri wants to share her message of tolerance and understanding with the adult community," an event preview states. "Topics will include how her parents handled her disability, what it's like to be stared at in public and growing up different."

The talk is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be held at Hergenhan Recreation Center.
