70 Summonses Issued, Two Vehicles Impounded During Enforcement Detail In Yonkers

The Yonkers Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement detail in the area of Central Park Avenue over the weekend that began on Friday, June 21, Sgt. David Fraszka said. The enforcement came as a response to several complaints from members of the community of speeding, and excessive noise from vehicles in the area.

During the detail, a total of 70 tickets were dished out for various offenses, and two cars were impounded and seized after being involved in “an illegal speed contest.”

Fraszka said that 38 tickets were handed out for excessive speed, and another 14 were doled out for excessive noise and loud mufflers over the two-day detail.
