Boniface Milano, 81, Korea War Vet, Formerly Of Hastings-on-Hudson

ARDSLEY, N.Y. - Boniface (Bernie) Milano, a resident of Ardsley for many years, formerly of Hastings-on-Hudson, died Monday, March 25. He was 81.

Milano was born in Ossining to Louis and Josephine Milano. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was raised in Croton, N.Y., and after his marriage moved to Hastings-on-Hudson, where he lived for several years with his family before settling in Ardsley.

Milano was a stone mason by trade and owned his own masonry business.

Milano is survived by his son, Bernard (Isabel); two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Frieda; brother, Carmine.


Calling hours are from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday April 1, at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave, Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irvington, N.Y.
