Starting April 23, the thousands of motorists using the Tappan Zee Bridge over the Hudson River can expect to see lots more open road. Not free, but open, according to lohud.com.
New cashless toll technology is to be up and running starting at 12 a.m. April 23. Drivers are being strongly encouraged to get an E-ZPass to pay tolls electronically, otherwise they'll get their bills in the mail, lohud.com reports.
Doing away with toll booths in favor of electronic toll equipment has been a long time in coming, and is expected to save hours in yearly commute time for drivers, lohud.com says.
