HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Several sections of the downtown and Broadway neighborhoods in the village of Hastings-on-Hudson were powered up Saturday before 6 p.m.
Lights on Main Street, where the village A & P and other businesses are located, brightened just after sundown in areas that had been without power for five days or more.
Utility trucks worked quickly along Main Street and Broadway at the five corners intersection where Farragut Avenue meets Broadway and Main Street.
The areas that were reconnected included the Farragut Middle School and Hastings High School on Farragut Avenue, and Main Street fire station and the Hastings Community Center on Main Street.
