YONKERS, NY -- Police are investigating the gruesome discovery of as many as five headless chickens at the JFK Marina in Yonkers, according to reports.
Police are looking for a man and a woman, both believed to be in their 50s, who were seen in the area. The chickens were found Saturday afternoon near the boat launch, News 12 Westchester said.
Ritualistic killing hasn't been ruled out by police, according to the Journal News. In April 2014, garbage bags containing the bodies of dead cats were found hanging from trees in the woods off Overlook Terrace, the Journal News said.
Last August, several bags containing decomposing animals, including a beheaded goat, were found dumped on a road in Yorktown, News 12 Westchester said.
