Hastings Student Charged With Harassment

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – An 18-year-old male student at the Graham School has been charged him with harassment in connection with an altercation with a staff member, Hasting Police report.

The student pushed a 46-year-old male staff member and threatened further contact on April 11, police said. He was arrested April 25. Police said the student was already in jail on a criminal mischief charge from an April 14 incident when he was arrested. He was processed and arraigned before being transported back to the county jail on $1,000 bail.

The following items also were reported by Hastings police:

Stolen Tools: A 2008 Chevrolet Express van belonging to a 28-year-old Mahopac man was broken into overnight and several tools were stolen. Police said the man had his company van parked on Warburton Avenue overnight on April 27 and the next morning discovered his passenger window had been broken and that $1,890 worth of tools were stolen. 

All Four Wheels Taken from Car: A Hastings woman’s gold 2011 Honda Accord had all four tires removed and was left on milk crates overnight on April 26. Police said the woman parked her car on Southgate Avenue at 6 p.m. on April 26 and discovered the damage on April 27 just before 8 a.m.  Police said the wheels are valued at $500 each. 

Slashed Tire: A 78-year-old Hastings man had a tire on his 2012 Nissan Vera cut sometime overnight on April 28.  Police said the car was parked on Marion Avenue and the damage was put at $143.
